Product Detail
Engineered for speed, comfort, and an aggressive attitude, the reimagined 5150™ Series Deluxe is a classic with a modern twist. It combines old - school charm with contemporary features. The 5150 Deluxe QM has a modified Strat® - style basswood body with a beautiful quilt maple top and a deeper upper body curve. Its graphite - reinforced bolt - on quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable modified “C” profile, a hand - rubbed satin urethane back finish, a heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and a color - matched “hockey stick” headstock with an EVH® logo decal. The 12” - 16” compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays, ensuring smooth and fast playability. Unlike the original single - humbucking bridge pickup version, the new 5150 Deluxe comes with an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three - way toggle. The custom EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup offers the perfect punch, articulation, sweet sustain, and thick rhythms with a well - balanced EQ curve. The neck pickup provides powerful overdrive and endless sustain, and clear cleans when the volume is lowered. A custom low - friction volume knob gives even - volume tapering for smooth volume swells, and the high - friction tone knob stays in place. There's also a new lower bout kill switch for stutter and rhythmic effects. It features an EVH - branded top - mount Floyd Rose® bridge with fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D - Tuna® for quick tuning changes. The guitar has a striking purple finish on the quilt maple top and all - chrome hardware, including EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines. Using your EVH 5150 Series Deluxe QM Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, when you get it out of the box, use the included tremolo arm and hex keys to set it up as you like. To change the tuning, you can use the EVH D - Tuna® on the bridge for quick switch between drop - D and standard tuning. For the best sound, play around with the three - way toggle switch to select different pickup combinations. Use the volume and tone knobs to adjust the sound to your preference. When it comes to maintenance, keep your guitar in a dry and clean place. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Check the strings regularly and replace them when they start to sound dull. The truss rod can be adjusted using the heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, but do it carefully as over - adjustment can damage the neck. And don't forget to keep the included user manual handy for more detailed instructions and troubleshooting tips.
