The reimagined 5150® Series Standard electric guitar is engineered for speed, comfort, and a full-throttle attitude. It combines throwback and modern features. This guitar has a modified Strat®-style basswood body with a deeper upper body curve. The graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck offers a comfortable modified “C” profile, a hand-rubbed satin urethane back finish, a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and a color-matched “hockey stick” headstock with an EVH® logo decal. The 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays for smooth and speedy playability. Unlike the original striped version with a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 comes with an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three-way toggle switch. The custom EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup provides great punch, articulation, sweet sustain, and thick rhythms. The neck pickup offers powerful overdrive and endless sustain, and clean tones when the volume is rolled down. A low-friction volume knob ensures smooth volume swells, and a high-friction tone knob stays in place. There's also a kill switch for stutter and rhythmic effects. It's equipped with an EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose® bridge with fine tuners and a patented EVH D-Tuna® for quick drop-D to standard tuning. Using your EVH 5150 Series Standard Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, tune your guitar using the EVH®-branded Gotoh® tuning machines. You can switch between drop-D and standard tuning quickly with the EVH D-Tuna® on the bridge. When playing, the smooth 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets will let you move your fingers easily. Use the three-way toggle switch to choose between different pickup combinations for various sounds. Roll the volume knob for smooth volume swells and adjust the tone knob to your liking. The kill switch is great for creating stutter and rhythmic effects. For maintenance, keep your guitar in a dry place. Wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Check the strings regularly and replace them when they start to sound dull or show signs of wear. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the 2.5 mm hex wrench and be careful not to over-tighten. Also, make sure to keep the Floyd Rose® bridge in good condition by lubricating it occasionally according to the manufacturer's instructions.
