Eddie Van Halen’s legendary Frankenstein™ guitar is now accessible to every musician with the EVH® Striped Series Frankenstein™ 'Frankie.' This guitar sports Eddie's famous red paint with white-and-black stripes and a worn relic look. It has a basswood Stratocaster®-style body and a graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck. The oiled neck back offers hours of comfortable playing, and the 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets is ideal for fast playing styles. Like Eddie’s original, it has an HSS pickup configuration, with an EVH Wolfgang® humbucking bridge pickup, a dummy Strat® neck pickup, and a dummy five-way blade. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose® locking trem and Floyd Rose locking nut ensure precise tuning, and the EVH D-Tuna® can retune to drop-D accurately. Using your EVH Striped Series Frankie Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, make sure the guitar is properly tuned. You can use the EVH D-Tuna® to quickly retune to drop-D. The Floyd Rose® locking trem and locking nut help keep the guitar in tune, even with big pitch changes. When playing, the oiled neck finish makes it easy to move your fingers up and down the fretboard. The 22 jumbo frets are great for fast playing styles. To adjust the sound, use the single volume control knob. Remember, it's labeled “tone”. For maintenance, keep the guitar in a dry place to prevent damage to the wood. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use to remove fingerprints and dirt. Check the strings regularly and replace them when they start to sound dull. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the 2.5 mm hex wrench and make small adjustments. Always refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions.
