Product Detail

The Wolfgang® Special has been battle - tested in arenas worldwide. It's a high - octane music - making machine with eye - catching style, thunderous sound, and lightning - fast playability. The Wolfgang Special QM sports a basswood body topped with an arched quilt maple, and a tough graphite - reinforced bolt - on quartersawn baked maple neck. Carved and rolled to Eddie Van Halen's strict standards, the neck has a hand - rubbed satin urethane finish on the back. The 12' - 16' compound radius baked maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays is perfect for high - energy riffs and blazing leads. Adjusting the truss rod is a breeze with the spoke wheel at the neck base. Two custom - designed EVH® Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking pickups are directly mounted on the body, delivering dynamic and clear tones with long - lasting sustain. The EVH - branded Floyd Rose® locking trem and locking nut ensure precise tuning even with extreme pitch changes. The EVH D - Tuna® lets you switch to drop - D and back accurately with a simple flick. The volume knob with a treble bleed circuit uses a 500K EVH Bourns® low - friction pot for smooth swells, and the tone control knob with a 250K Bourns high - friction pot prevents accidental tone shifts. Available in Purple Burst, it has a right - hand orientation and is made in MX.

Using this EVH Wolfgang Special QM Electric Guitar is a breeze. When you first get it, tune it up. You can use the EVH D - Tuna® to quickly switch to drop - D tuning. To play different tones, use the three - way toggle switch. Position 1 gives you the bridge pickup sound, position 2 combines bridge and neck pickups, and position 3 is for the neck pickup. Adjust the volume and tone using the respective knobs. For the treble bleed circuit in the volume knob, it helps keep the high - end frequencies when you turn down the volume. When it comes to maintenance, keep the guitar in a dry place to prevent the wood from warping. Wipe it down after each use with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and sweat. You can adjust the truss rod if you notice the neck isn't straight, but be careful and make small adjustments. Check the strings regularly and change them when they start to sound dull. Also, make sure the hardware like the tuning machines and tremolo arm are tightened properly to avoid any rattling or tuning issues.
