Product Detail

The G - 200 EC is a revolutionary twist on the classic jumbo guitar. It comes with the Gibson Player Port™, an original 1960s concept refined by our acoustic luthier team. This port offers a truly unique sonic improvement, letting you hear the guitar just like your audience does for an immersive playing and listening experience. Part of the Generation™ Collection, it's hand - crafted in Bozeman, MT, by the same skilled craftspeople behind all Gibson acoustics. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut back and sides, it produces a crisp and resonant tone. The slightly thinner cutaway jumbo body is comfortable to play and gives great access to the upper frets. The TUSQ® nut and saddle, along with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, ensure stable tuning. The utile neck with an easy - playing Advanced Response profile is a joy to hold. It also features an LR Baggs™ Element Bronze pickup system, so it sounds great to both you and your audience. A gig bag is included. The body is a super jumbo J - 200 shape, made of walnut with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The neck has an Advanced Response profile, 20 frets, and a 25.5 - inch scale length. The hardware has a chrome finish, and the electronics include an under - saddle LR Baggs Element Bronze pickup.

Using your Gibson G - 200 EC is a breeze. First, take it out of the gig bag. Make sure it's in tune using the Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines. When you start playing, you'll notice the comfortable neck and easy access to the upper frets. If you're playing in an amplified setting, plug the 1/4' endpin jack into your amplifier. Adjust the soundhole - mounted volume control to get the right level. As for maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the body and strings after each use. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity, as this can damage the wood. If you need to adjust the truss rod, it's best to have a professional do it. Also, change the strings regularly, especially if they start to sound dull. With proper care, your Gibson G - 200 EC will serve you well for years to come.
