Product Detail
The GHS Bass Boomers® have long been the classic power strings and are now among the world's most popular bass strings. Even legendary bassist Flea uses them! Just like the guitar version, these strings feature a nickel - plated steel wrap. This unique wrap gives you amazing brilliance, volume, sustain, and strength that you won't find in other bass strings. Available in gauges 45, 65, 85, and 105. PLU: M3045B.
Using these GHS Bass Boomers® is easy. First, make sure your bass guitar is in a stable position. Loosen the old strings one by one and remove them. Then, start with the lowest gauge string (45) and thread it through the bridge and the tuning peg. Tune it to the correct pitch. Repeat this process for the other strings (65, 85, 105). When tuning, turn the peg slowly to avoid breaking the string. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the strings with a clean, dry cloth to remove sweat and dirt. This will help keep the strings sounding great and extend their lifespan. Also, store your bass in a dry place to prevent the strings from rusting. If you notice any signs of wear or a change in sound quality, it might be time to replace the strings.
