It offers extensive EQ control: Bass can be cut or boosted by +/- 14dB, Mid by +/- 15dB, and Treble by +/- 10dB. The VOL sets the output volume, and the DIST adjusts input gain and distortion. The noise gate eliminates noise and has an LED to indicate signal muting. It comes with a 9V battery. Using the Electro - Harmonix NANO METAL MUFF is easy. First, you can power it with the included 9V battery or an optional 9.6VDC - 200mA power adapter. Then, connect it to your guitar and amplifier. Use the VOL knob to set the output volume to your desired level. The DIST knob is for adjusting the input gain and distortion, so turn it to get the heavy sound you want. The EQ controls (Bass, Mid, Treble) let you shape the tone according to your preference. When you stop playing, the noise gate will automatically kick in to eliminate unwanted hum. You can use the GATE control to adjust the noise floor threshold. As for maintenance, keep the pedal clean and dry. If you're using a battery, replace it when it runs out. Also, be gentle with the knobs to avoid damage. When not in use, store it in a safe place to prevent any physical harm.
