Evans EQPAD Bass Drum Muffling Pad

The Evans EQ pad is an amazing bass drum muffler. It attaches to the bottom of the bass drum shell using Velcro. This hinged pad bounces off the drumhead, letting the sound sustain, and then comes back to dampen the vibrating head. Using the Evans EQPAD is a breeze. First, attach the pad to the bottom of the bass drum shell with the Velcro. You'll notice that the hinged pad bounces off the drumhead and then returns to dampen it. This gives you great control over the sound sustain. For smaller drums, you can use the smaller pad on the opposite end. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pad clean and dry. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures.
