Using this Jackson JS22-7 DKA 7-string guitar is a breeze. First, tune your guitar using the sealed die - cast tuners. Make sure the strings are at the right tension for your playing style. You can adjust the tone and volume with the single volume and tone controls. Use the three - way blade switch to choose between different pickup combinations - the bridge pickup for a bright, cutting sound, both pickups for a full - bodied tone, or the neck pickup for a warmer sound. When playing, the compound radius fingerboard allows you to play fat riffs near the nut and do wide bends and fast solos in the upper registers. As for maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Wipe it down after each use with a soft cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Check the truss rods occasionally to ensure the neck is straight. If you notice the strings are losing their tone or getting frayed, replace them with NPS strings of .009 - .052 gauges. Also, store your guitar in a proper case when not in use to protect it from damage and changes in humidity.
