The Electro - Harmonix Top Boost Metal Muff is the ultimate pedal for metal distortion. It comes with three strong EQ bands that let you perfectly shape the mids. With 6 controls, you can precisely customize the sound, whether you want a slithering mercury - like tone or a lead belly blast furnace dross sound. The unique Top Boost feature, controlled by its own knob and footswitch, adds a sharp bite. You can activate it for searing leads. Using the Electro - Harmonix Top Boost Metal Muff is easy. First, connect it to your guitar and amplifier. If you want to use a battery, simply open the battery compartment and insert the 9 - volt battery. You can also use the optional 96DC - 200BI power supply. Use the 6 controls to adjust the sound according to your preference. The 3 - Band EQ allows you to fine - tune the bass, mid, and treble. When you want that extra bite, step on the footswitch for the Top Boost. Remember to keep the pedal away from moisture and extreme temperatures. If you're not using it for a long time, remove the battery to prevent damage. Wipe the pedal with a dry cloth regularly to keep it clean.
