Using Your Deering AG Artisan Goodtime Openback 5 - String Banjo: First, tune your banjo. You can use the planetary tuners and the geared 5th string tuner. Start with the standard G tuning (G,D,G,B,D), but you can easily switch to other tunings thanks to the 5th string spikes at frets 7, 9, 10. When you play, hold the neck comfortably. The slender rock maple neck is designed for easy play and accurate fretting. For a better experience, practice regularly in a comfortable place, whether it's at home by your chair or on the go. Note: Avoid exposing your banjo to extreme temperatures and humidity as it can damage the wood and the strings. When you're done playing, keep it in a safe place. Maintenance: Clean the banjo regularly with a soft cloth. Wipe the strings to keep them in good condition. Check the tension of the strings and the hardware periodically. If you notice any loose parts, use the steel coordinator rod and the hex nuts to make adjustments. With proper care, your banjo will last a long time and keep sounding great.
