Experience the classic Gretsch sound and style inspired by the '50s and '60s with the all-new Electromatic® Classic Hollow Body guitars. These no-nonsense guitars offer essential Gretsch hollow-body tone, style, and playability. The G5422G-12 Electromatic® Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut 12-String with Gold Hardware delivers a full hollow-body build and the true Filter’Tron™ voice, creating a lush 12-string chime and jangle. It has a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, and new trestle block bracing to reduce feedback. The new design makes the sound have a faster attack, more focus, snap, and increased sustain. Paired with new FT-5E Filter’Tron™ pickups, it produces a huge full-bodied punch, classic chime, and enhanced presence. The all-new Classic “C”-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable playing feel, and is topped with a 12”-radius laurel fingerboard. Other premium features include upgraded controls, oversized bound F-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller late-'50s G6120 bound headstock, sealed die-cast tuning machines, Graph Tech® NuBone® nut, historic pearloid Hump Block inlays, a secured Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and a Gretsch G-cutout tailpiece. Using your Gretsch G5422G-12 is a breeze. First, make sure the guitar is properly tuned using the die-cast sealed tuning machines. You can adjust the volume and tone using the versatile controls, including the master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and three - position tone switch. When playing, the comfortable Classic “C”-shaped maple neck and 12”-radius laurel fingerboard will make it easy to reach all the frets. For maintenance, keep the guitar in a stable environment. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity as they can damage the laminated maple body. Wipe the strings with a clean cloth after each use to prevent corrosion. You can also use a guitar polish to keep the body finish looking great. Check the Adjusto - Matic™ bridge and Gretsch G - cutout tailpiece regularly to ensure they are secure. If you notice any issues with the electronics or hardware, it's best to take it to a professional guitar technician for repair.
